With this option we will add a transistor (at D071x a MOSFET) and two resistors to your board. This allows you to switch off unneeded devices. Especially when you want to build a battery driven device, this option is important as you can send the microcontroller into the sleep mode and switch off all other devices (RS232, SD card, display, 3V regulator etc.)
