Buffered Real Time Clock
By enhancing your module with a buffered real time clock you will always have a correct time and date available at your module. As long as you power your module the clock runs by this voltage. If you disconnect the module the real time clock continuous to work for over 2 years due to the soldered micro lithium cell. This clock offers you also some more features you may read out:
- Information that the power failed
- Output of a clock signal programmable between 1 Hz and 32.678 Khz
- 56 Byte of User RAM – this RAM can be used as often as you like (e.g for configuration data or for important variable data). The data is not lost if the power fails as it is also buffered up to 2 years.
- Always correct file date and time for files on SD card
- Always correct date / time stamp for any data the module uses (e.g. protocoll data on SD card).
